Kaps Place is an authentic Costa Rican home where we meet the needs of tourists by providing accommodation, complete personalized assistance & travel agency services.

For tourists Kaps Place is a home away from theirs and much more. Behind a recycled garage door a colorful garden terrace - with inviting hammocks - welcomes you. As you begin to unwind in this haven, you realize you have reached the perfect get-a-way guests refer to as "HOME." Kaps Place, the official name which stands for Knowledge, Accommodation & Personalized Service is rarely used because, according to our guests, they soon feel like they are home.

At Kaps Place - located in Aranjuez, one of the oldest barrios in San José - guests can truly relax in a cozy & tranquil environment. It is on a quiet street, away from noise and pollution. Guests can walk to the city center in 20 minutes or enjoy the convenience of a wide range of neighborhood banks, restaurants, cafés, shops and grocery stores.

Its inviting and spacious setting - accented with brightly painted walls offset by wooden décor - combines the comforts of home with the privacy expected in a hotel.

Kaps Place has three components: Accommodation, assistance & a travel agency.

The accommodation options consist of:

• The main house with six private rooms each with bathroom.
• A chalet with 5 private rooms.  Two rooms on the third floor with a balcony and shared bathroom.  One large family suite on the second floor which sleeps up to 6 people and has a jacuzzi. Two tiny rooms on the ground floor which share a bathroom.
  
• The hostel with 6 private rooms.  Three on the second floor share on bathroom and three on the ground floor each with private bathroom. The hostel has a large terrace, a spacious area for dinner parties, meetings or yoga classes. 
• An annex with six rooms each with private bathroom.

The rooms in the main house, chalet, hostel and annex are tastefully decorated, kept spotlessly clean, have wifi access, security boxes, fans, comfortable high quality beds, bathrooms with hairdryers and hot water showers, direct-dial telephones, and cable color television.

2. There are 2 PC's in the lobby of the Main House with Internet Service available to you at no charge.
   
3. There is one PC in the lobby of the Annex with Internet Service also available at no charge.
   
4. You can make free calls to more than 60 countries via a VOIP lobby phone.
   
5. Power here is 110V, just like North America.
   
6. You're only a 10-15 minute walk from McDonald's, KFC, a Pizza Hut, a bank and a super market.
   
7. You can have McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza's and Chinese food delivered to the hotel.
   
8. Plenty of local Costa Rican restaurants within walking distance.

Each location (the main house, the chalet and the annex) has common cooking, living and dining areas. Guests have access to the bright, window-lined kitchens (with pots, pans, dishes, microwave, toaster, steamer, blender and large refrigerator) and can store food on designated shelves.
