Are we for you?

  • If you are looking for a noisy crowd, lots of people and crowded bars, a disco and other "excitements", we are not for you.
  • If you are looking for an all inclusive deal, where you get all meals & 24 hour undivided attention, we will probably join you at the hotel of your choice if you don´t mind our company.
  • If you are looking for a $10.00 - $15.00 room that sleeps 4 people, we are definitely not for you.
  • If you are looking to experience Costa Rican culture in an environment as comfortable and peaceful as your own home where you have small but spotless rooms for an affordable price, we are for you.
  • If you savor friendly and personal service, our staff and family and will meet your standards and expectations. In exchange we ask you to accept we are human. We make mistakes and our children need our attention too - if this is alright with you, we are for you.
  • If you like to prepare your own meals and enjoy the freedom of cooking for yourself, we are for you. If traditional Costa Rican and International cuisine are your choice, our neighboring sodas and restaurants are within walking distance or a short cab ride away.
  • If you like to chat quietly and relax while sharing experiences & food with fellow travelers, the kitchens, terraces and living rooms are great places for you.
  • If you can accept that our internet, cable TV or phone lines may be down for reasons out of our control and that as soon as it is humanly possible they will be repaired, we can´t wait to serve you. (Just to expand on this point we have had many business, research, grad students et. al. tell us we need to explain everything works here in Kaps and we are here 24 hours a day to fix what doesn´t, however I am a bit neurotic, and as in any country - specially developing - it is not in my hands to control all services which depend on external providers -- but am well connected and your business, research or other work will not be interrupted any more than in any 5 star hotel!)
  • If you accept and respect our policies and guidelines which have been created to assure you a wonderful stay at out guesthouse. Please be at peace knowing that our business is to serve and accomodate you. We are trustworthy with your deposits and credit card information. We are pleased to have you, if you agree.
